Uniformed and Plain Clothes Security. Deployed to Fit Your Environment.
Arux Group provides armed and unarmed uniformed security officers as well as plain clothes agents for businesses, facilities, and properties across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. Whether your environment calls for a visible, authoritative presence or discreet on-site protection that blends into your operation, we deploy the right personnel for the situation.
Our officers and agents are drawn from law enforcement, military, and extensive security backgrounds, trained to exceed state certification standards, and held to the same operational discipline our founders brought to the field.
Armed Uniformed Site Security
Our armed security officers deliver an authoritative, visible presence for facilities and assets requiring a higher level of deterrence. Officers are licensed, certified, and trained in threat assessment, use of force protocols, access control, and rapid incident response. Armed personnel are appropriate for financial institutions, corporate campuses, high-value asset storage, and any environment where the risk profile warrants a decisive security posture.
Unarmed Uniformed Site Security
Our unarmed officers provide a professional, non-threatening presence that promotes safety and order without creating an adversarial environment. They are trained in access control, conflict de-escalation, visitor management, and proactive threat prevention. Unarmed officers are well-suited for corporate offices, retail environments, residential properties, healthcare facilities, and public-facing spaces where a welcoming but vigilant presence is the objective.
Plain Clothes Site Security
Our plain clothes agents provide discreet on-site security that blends seamlessly into your environment. Ideal for organizations that require active protection without a visible security presence, plain clothes deployments are used in corporate offices, luxury retail, hospitality, executive floors, and any setting where discretion is as important as capability. Our agents receive the same rigorous training and operational standards as our uniformed personnel, drawing from proven expertise in law enforcement, military operations, and extensive security experience.

Physical Site Security FAQ
What is physical site security?
Physical site security is the deployment of trained security personnel to protect a business, facility, or property from unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, workplace violence, and other on-site threats. It includes armed officers, unarmed officers, and plain clothes agents stationed at or patrolling a location. Unlike remote monitoring or alarm systems, physical site security puts trained professionals on the ground who can assess, deter, and respond to threats in real time.
Do I need armed or unarmed security guards?
Whether you need armed or unarmed security depends on your environment, risk level, and the nature of the threats your facility faces. Armed security officers are appropriate for high-risk environments such as financial institutions, cannabis dispensaries, critical infrastructure, and locations with a documented history of violent incidents. Unarmed officers are well suited for corporate offices, retail properties, residential buildings, healthcare facilities, and environments where a professional, non-threatening presence is the priority. Arux Group assesses your specific risk profile before recommending the right deployment for your situation.
What is the difference between a security guard and a security officer?
The terms are often used interchangeably, but in professional practice a security officer typically denotes a higher level of training, certification, and responsibility than a basic security guard. At Arux Group, all on-site personnel are classified as security officers and they are licensed under Oregon DPSST or Washington DOL standards, background checked, trained in threat assessment and incident response, and held to strict professional conduct requirements. We do not staff entry-level guards from general labor pools.
What is plain clothes security and when is it used?
Plain clothes security involves deploying trained agents who blend into your environment without a visible uniform or identifiable security presence. This is appropriate when an organization requires active protection but does not want to signal security concerns to clients, guests, or the public. Common use cases include corporate executive floors, luxury retail, hotels, sensitive business operations, and environments where a uniformed presence would be disruptive or counterproductive. All plain clothes agents carry the same law enforcement and military credentials as our uniformed personnel.
Are your security officers licensed in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho?
Yes. All Arux Group security officers are fully licensed and compliant with Washington Department of Licensing (DOL), Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST), and Idaho requirements. Armed personnel hold all applicable state certifications for carrying firearms in a private security capacity. We hold a Security Company License in Idaho and are licensed to operate throughout Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.
Are your security officers background checked?
Yes. Every Arux Group security officer undergoes a thorough background check prior to deployment. This is a mandatory requirement under both Washington DOL and Oregon DPSST licensing standards, and it is a non-negotiable internal standard at Arux Group regardless of state minimums. You will never have an unvetted individual deployed to your property.
What should I look for when hiring a security company?
When evaluating a private security company, the most important factors are: proper state licensing and officer certification, thorough background verification of all personnel, hiring from law enforcement, SWAT, military, and extensive security backgrounds rather than general labor pools, GPS monitoring and accountability systems to verify officer presence, a clear process for post orders and incident reporting, and a leadership team with direct operational experience. Arux Group meets all of these standards. Our officers come from law enforcement, SWAT, military service, and extensive security backgrounds, with every deployment monitored and documented.
Do you provide security for one-time events or short-term needs?
Yes. Arux Group provides security for both ongoing engagements and one-time or short-term needs including corporate events, private functions, venue security, and temporary site coverage. Requests made with more than 72 hours notice are billed at standard rates. Requests within 72 hours are treated as emergency engagements and are subject to adjusted billing. Contact us to discuss your event or short-term requirements.
How quickly can security officers be deployed?
For standard engagements, Arux Group can typically have officers deployed within 72 hours of a confirmed agreement. For urgent or emergency situations, we make every effort to deploy as quickly as possible, though emergency engagements are subject to different billing rates. Contact us directly at (360) 953-2696 to discuss time-sensitive requirements.
What areas do you serve?
Arux Group provides physical site security services throughout the Pacific Northwest. Our primary markets are Vancouver, WA, Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, and Boise, ID. We also serve surrounding communities including Camas, Washougal, Battle Ground, Ridgefield, Kirkland, Redmond, Bellevue, Renton, Kent, Auburn, Federal Way, Des Moines, Tacoma, Puyallup, Lakewood, and Olympia in Washington, and Milwaukie, Oregon City, Gladstone, Lake Oswego, Tigard, Beaverton, Hillsboro, Gresham, Fairview, Troutdale, Wood Village, Tualatin, and West Linn in Oregon. We are licensed statewide in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.
What are your rates?
Arux Group’s security rates vary based on four primary factors: officer type (armed officers are priced higher than unarmed due to licensing and training requirements), the number of officers required, the hours and schedule of coverage, and the complexity of the engagement. Ongoing contracts are typically priced differently than one-time or short-term deployments. We do not publish flat rates because every site has a different risk profile and staffing requirement and a single unarmed officer for a corporate lobby is a very different engagement than a multi-officer armed deployment for a financial institution. Contact us and we will provide a detailed written proposal within 48 hours.
Do you offer vehicle patrols?
Vehicle patrols are not currently offered. Our on-site officers conduct roving foot patrols verified by GPS monitoring and QR code checkpoints. Contact us to discuss your specific patrol requirements.
How are officers tracked while on my site?
All officers use GPS tracking software on their smartphones, monitored continuously to verify on-site presence and patrol compliance. At your request, we can also implement QR code scanning at designated patrol checkpoints, providing a verifiable record of officer activity throughout your property.
